Say Goodbye to Nasolabial Folds: Expert Tips & Tricks for Achieving a Younger Looking Face with Fillers

Nasolabial folds, also known as "parentheses  lines," are wrinkles that run from the sides of the nose to the corners of the mouth. They can be a sign of aging as they become deeper and more prominent. With filler injection, you can make these lines look more shallow and rejuvenated in your patients.

Fillers, such as hyaluronic acid, can be used to add volume to the cheek area and smooth out the nasolabial folds. The filler is injected into the cheek area, lifting the skin and reducing the appearance of the folds. The results can last for several months, depending on the type of filler used and the individual's skin.

What Filler is Best for the Nasolabial Folds?

In general, we recommend starting off with HA/ Hyaluronic Acid fillers for the nasolabial folds.  They are great for most patients, and can be dissolved if needed. We would recommend other fillers that are longer lasting or more permanent as you gain experience.

Also, first time patients should probably get HA fillers as well. Even if you deliver an awesome result, new patients may not like them, or may not like full correction. It is much easier to dissolve HA fillers in first time patients, and very difficult to impossible to dissolve other fillers such as Sculptra, Radiesse, Bellafill, Renuva, and others.

What Hints Are There for Nasolabial Fold Injection?

When it comes to reducing nasolabial folds with fillers, there are several tips and tricks to keep in mind. One of the most important is to choose the right type of filler for your specific needs and goals. Different fillers have different properties, such as how long they last, their texture, and how they interact with the skin. It's important to choose the right type of filler for your specific needs and goals. Generally, the more robust fillers that have a higher G Prime and more heavily cross linked are injected  in the nasolabial folds.

Remember to discuss with your patient the possibility of swelling and bruising after nasolabial fold injection.

Common Injection Techniques for the Nasolabial Folds

It's also important to choose the right injection technique. A common technique is the "tenting" technique, where the filler is injected into the cheek area, lifting the skin and reducing the appearance of the nasolabial folds. Another technique is the "threading" technique, where the filler is injected in a thread-like manner, following the natural contours of the face. The right technique will depend on the individual's specific needs and goals.

In conclusion, reducing nasolabial folds with fillers can be an effective way to smooth out wrinkles and enhance the natural beauty of the face. There are several factors to consider, including the type of filler, the injector's experience and qualifications, and the right injection technique.
